Ouch

This is what happens when you leave your wife at home with two cranky kids and an overflowing toilet and go enjoy a powder day!  Just kidding.  There really isn't anything funny about knee surgery to replace the ACL and repair the meniscus.  Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.  They used a cadaver ligament, so we have been joking about the zombie knee!  RIP to whomever donated the part.

More odds and ends

I'm so excited it's yard time!  Iris loves the swing and Miles loves the sandbox.  It's a nice change of scenery from the living room.  Of course, the forecast is for snow tonight, but that's spring in Utah for you!
And a video just for fun...
This is what she likes to do inside the house these days.  Every book gets yanked off the shelves.
Fort building
I love this next picture because he is SO excited to be "hiding" in the fort.

Odds and Ends

My goal was to add something to this blog at least once a week.  There hasn't been anything too exciting happening.  Just some odds and ends.
We started taking Miles to swim lessons.  So far so good.  He tells the teacher he already knows how to swim and that he wants to go down with the scuba divers who practice in the deep end.  Someday little man!  We are hoping he will be good to go by summer so we can play at the Rec Center pools and hot have heart attacks when he jumps in.
Miles made this treasure map at daycare.  Jeff did the coolest thing.  He hid a pack of gum in the sandbox in the backyard and they followed the map to it.  Very fun.  Thanks Sarah!
I got the dreaded sick baby call on Monday.  Iris had a high fever so we all headed home for the day.  I am so thankful for Jeff's parents and all their help.  They drove down that night and stayed for a few days until she was better.  They have saved us many hours of sick leave, and it doesn't look like she's really sad about having her arms full of grandkids, does it?!
Obviously she is feeling much better now!  She loves to eat whatever Miles is eating.  She got the leftover apple and went to town on it.  I think she is up to 8 teeth now.
Poor Bella.  I keep hoping Miles will take it easy on her and just show her some soft love.  She gets harassed on a daily basis, but still comes back to him for more.  He thought this was so funny, and really I have to agree :)
